Welcome
SP10 - 10th International Conference on Semiconductor Photochemistry
We are delighted to welcome you to the 10th International Conference on Semiconductor Photochemistry - SP10, which will take place in Porto, Portugal, from 13 to 17 September 2027.
Launched in Glasgow in 2001, the SP international conference series has progressively established itself over the past two decades as one of the most relevant international meetings in the fields of semiconductor photochemistry and photocatalysis. Since its first edition, the conference has travelled across Europe, with previous editions held in Aberdeen(2007), Glasgow (2010), Prague (2013), Saint Petersburg (2015), Oeldenburg (2017), Milan (2019), Strasbourg (2023), and Madrid (2025). In 2027, SP will celebrate its 10th edition in the vibrant city of Porto.
SP10 will bring together leading researchers, early-career scientists, industry representatives, and experts from related disciplines to share the latest advances, discuss emerging challenges, and explore future directions in semiconductor-based photochemical and photocatalytic processes.
Scientific Topics
SP10 welcomes contributions across the broad fields of photocatalysis, photothermal catalysis, photoelectrochemistry, and photovoltaics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Solar-to-electricity conversion
Air and water remediation
Solar fuels
Organic synthesis and solar chemicals
Modelling and mechanistic studies
Chemical engineering approaches
New materials for semiconductor photochemistry and photocatalysis
Operando and in-situ characterisation
Commercial applications and standardisation
Functionalised and self-cleaning surfaces
Contributions addressing additional topics in related areas are also strongly encouraged.
Through a stimulating scientific programme, SP10 aims to highlight the most advanced research progress in semiconductor photochemistry and photocatalysis, while fostering discussion on future research directions, technological opportunities, and global challenges in the field.
We look forward to welcoming the international semiconductor photochemistry community to Porto from 13 to 17 September 2027.
